TGI WEBSITE DATA STATEMENT

We are developing a data literacy programme as part of our curriculum resources and so we are very aware that image-heavy websites such as

The Great Imagining and The Great Imagining Earth have CO2 and energy implications especially with increasing number of users.

Our current position is that to encourage greener, fairer, wiser ideas to proliferate

we need to promote them, so this is a necessary phase of our online presence.

In line with our capacity (funding and time), we are following these pathways:

  • Clear data and web protocols to increase efficiency and reduce carbon footprints of current website.

  • Facilitating a new website build which will use the most efficient coding, structure and storage platforms to ensure lowest carbon footprint within the integrity of The Great Imagining values, vision, mission and aims.

  • To invest in the regeneration and rewilding of nature herself, as well as measure our cultural influences to ensure our work has a net carbon-reduction across all measurable impacts.

  • To include all direct TGI generated (as well as indirect) social media activities in these measurements.
