We are planning a long term, deep learning programme in the West Midlands, initially starting with three districts: Cannock Chase, Stafford, Lichfield (as well as some Birmingham schools). Working with the three district councils as well as various University departments, we are planning to track behaviour change over time as the whole district is taken on a journey of carbon literacy and climate and ecological adaptation. Our challenge to the communities this year is to lower their carbon footprint by 10%.
