Handsworth Association of Schools film
This film was made by the Handsworth Association of Schools with students from Birmingham schools who ran workshops and projects in The Great Imagining Cannock Chase launch event.
The long term aim of this programme - as well as creating leadership in the community - will create inspiration, toolkits and templates for other District Councils and local authorities.
This whole programme is putting schools at its heart. In January and February 2024 The Great Imagining team went to 16 schools across the district and lead whole school assemblies, ran class workshops and spoke to dozens of teachers in the first stage of a five year plan to reduce the carbon footprint of the district and increase empathy with nature and the biodiversity of the whole region.
This programme is in partnership with Cannock Chase Council, Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles (a local health and well-being charity) as well as all schools, universities, colleges, community groups, networks and businesses.
