BEN GOOCH

Giclee print on hahnemuhle german etching paper

h49x w34 (edition 50)

The ‘Views of Hackney’ series has been imagined as a response to JG Ballard’s prescient climate change novel ‘The Drowned World’. They explore the interplay between nature and the built environment in the context of a rapidly changing climate. Ben imagines a future where nature gets its own back on local landmarks in his home borough of Hackney, London.

Ben is a self-taught queer trans masculine artist who interrogates cultural ideas about what is 'natural'. He works across paint and print in his practice.
